No words

I think I'll just let the pictures speak for themselves.  I'm feeling like a sicko today.

Spring Fever

Is it still January?  We are so ready for winter to be over.  Jesse pulled out our new wagon from Santa and took Avril cruising in it.  We all have a bad case of the Spring fever.  We've had it with playing indoors... lets go play outside!

Some of My Favorites

We just got the digital images back from our 2 week photo shoot with McKel.  I was going to post a handful of my favorites, but a handful turned in to 2 handfuls... and then some.  I am so bad at choosing favorites.  They're all my favorites.
Brian Regan does a funny clip about favorites.  I found the quote online... he is referring to a kid getting a snowcone:
"GRAPE! I'm gonna get grape, or cherry. They're both... favorites, so either one is good, but if they have both, I'll get grape, because grape is a little more favorite. But if they don't have grape it's like alright its fine, cause cherry's favorite anyway. It's like another favorite, but not as much. Not as much favorite. But they're both good. They're both good."
These are my favorites.  They're all good.  :)

Personality

Its so fun to see McKel's personality develop.  Now she is becoming more alert and starting to sleep a little less so we get to see what she's really like.  So far her personality = HAPPY!!  McKel smiles more than any baby I've seen.  She likes to coo and make happy noises.  I have already heard her laugh!  She is also still a BIG baby.  She is already snug in the 3-6 month clothes.  It will be interesting to see what her measurements are like at her 2 month check up.  Right now she is just over 6 weeks and growing like a weed.  A chubby weed that is.  We love this little happy cutie pie face.

...and her sister has no lack of personality either.  She keeps us in stitches all day long.  I need to start writing down all the hilarious things she says.
Gotta say it again... I LOVE my girls!  :)

Saved by the Dolly

Today us girls were playing at Great Grandma Joyce's house.  We had barely just arrived when McKel had a major blow out in her diaper.  Mommy thought to bring diapers but did not think to bring a change of clothes for baby McKel.  Mommy was about ready to drive back home and bring back some clean baby clothes when Grandma Joyce came in to the room with a little baby sleeper.  Where did this come from, you ask?  Grandma Joyce had gone down to the basement where Avril was playing with the dollies.  She then took the sleeper off the biggest dolly and brought it upstairs to see if it would fit McKel... and it did!
Here is McKel in her Dolly sleeper:

Hmmm... didn't I just see this outfit on the dolly Avril was playing with?

And here are some more recent pics of our sweet McKel:

McKel at 1 Month

Caught ya smiling!!  :)
At 1 month old McKel is growing in to a BIG, beautiful girl!  She has now graduated from her newborn clothes and is wearing the 3-6 month old clothes.  This girl keeps a-growin' and growin'!  She is starting to sleep more on a normal schedule and is awake and alert a little more during the day.  She loves to have mommy and daddy sing to her, this can almost always calm her down.  We all love this little bundle of joy!  Happy one month McKel!

I Tried...

I wanted to get a cute pic of the girls in their dresses but they just weren't having it.
Attempt 1:  A very unhappy McKel
Attempt 2:  Avril pulling one of her many silly faces
I give up.  The best I could do.

This one's pretty dang cute though

Spaghetti

Whoever decided to put spaghetti and meatballs on the kids menu was not in their right mind.  Hmmm...  and that makes us even crazier for ordering it!  Spaghetti stains come out, right??
Daddy had to test the noodles to make sure they were ok for Avril to eat.  She watches daddy intently, trying to learn the proper way to eat the noodles.

Newlyweds No More

I'm not sure how long you have to be married to officially lose the title of "Newlyweds," but I figure we've gotta be way past that point now that we have two kids.  On January 5th we celebrated our 3rd Wedding Anniversary.  Wowie kazowie, time has flown by!  I know it sounds totally cheesey, but I feel like my life really just began when I met Jesse.  Marrying him was the best decision I've ever made, hands down.  A lot has happened since we've been married...we've accumulated two more family members, moved to California and back, almost finished putting Jesse through school... just to name a few things.  We feel so blessed to have a lot of love in our family.  Every night that's what I pray for... ask and you shall receive, and we surely have.  All this was set in motion by two people becoming best friends and falling in love...

I was reminiscing and watching our wedding videos.  My friend D.J. did such an amazing job putting them together.  These videos are priceless to me.
I especially love watching the slideshow of our baby pics, now that we have kids.  I like to catch glimpses of them in our baby pics, its kinda fun.

Oh, the memories.  I love the soundtrack, these are some of my favorite love songs.  It almost brings tears to my eyes just to watch this.  I'm not even pregnant!  I'm just a total sap at heart.

Jesse and I take turns being in charge of planning anniversaries.  It was Jesse's turn to plan this one.  He made the day so special.  For starters, I got to stay in bed that morning past Avril's wake up time of 6:30 am.  He let me sleep in while he took care of the kids... made breakfast, etc.  I got to take the day off from mom duties which was soooooooooo much appreciated.  Boy do those kiddos exhaust me!  That evening we left Avril with Papa Bryan and enjoyed a dinner out (baby McKel also joined us but mainly caught some Zzzz's) at the Olive Garden.  Jesse made a homemade card for me that was just so sweet, and inside were 2 tickets to go see Brian Regan when he comes to Logan next month.  Yay!  I can't wait to have some good laughs with my hubby.  Thank you dearest, for an amazing anniversary.  I love you always.
