What a great idea for a fundraiser! We ran a 5K to help raise money for a mom battling her 3rd fight with cancer. The race was held at the American West Heritage Center, in Wellsville, Utah. It was called the Splash of COLOR 5K!
We all received T-shirts and a racers' bag of color to
make the race even more colorful! Runners started the race wearing
all white.
As we made our way through the 3.1 mile course,
we were blasted with handfuls of colored cornstarch by the race
crew.
We celebrated crossing the finish line by
throwing even more color.
At the COLOR
Festival after the race we enjoyed lunch, music, concessions, a
silent auction, raffle prizes, games, pony and train rides, and baby
animals. How can you go wrong with all that when you have two little ones? The girls LOVED it!!
