Colors for Tessa Fundraiser

What a great idea for a fundraiser!  We ran a 5K to help raise money for a mom battling her 3rd fight with cancer.  The race was held at the American West Heritage Center, in Wellsville, Utah. It was called the Splash of COLOR 5K!  We all received T-shirts and a racers' bag of color to make the race even more colorful! Runners started the race wearing all white. As we made our way through the 3.1 mile course, we were blasted with handfuls of colored cornstarch by the race crew. We celebrated crossing the finish line by throwing even more color.
At the COLOR Festival after the race we enjoyed lunch, music, concessions, a silent auction, raffle prizes, games, pony and train rides, and baby animals.  How can you go wrong with all that when you have two little ones?  The girls LOVED it!!
Here are some pics from the day:

The start of the race.  It was a wee bit chilly!
Nana brought the girls to watch mommy take off!
My cousin Robert Crockett brought his kids as well, to watch their mommy run

Another Awesome Weekend

Lots of Parkinsons!  We got to see lots of cousins, aunts and uncles over the weekend.  We are so blessed to come from such an amazing family.  I totally think the world of all these people.  Thank you for coming to visit!  We all just had some good fun and food at Grandma Joyce's place

Spencer, Sam, Uncle Robert, and another Spencer (younger version)

Keri, Susan, Grandma Joyce, Arleen, Tracine

Spencer, Jared, Steven, and Dallin (who owes me if I just introduced him to his future wife in AZ)

Hanging out and chatting it up
A couple pics of mommy hanging out and being silly with her friend DJ.  We went dancing and then to fill our tummies.  Always nice to be with good friends.

Good times!  Another Awesome Weekend...

Happy Birthday Adrian, Arleen, and Jared!!

Every sibling besides your truly, has the same birthday.  So its kinda hard to forget the date:  April 16th.  Especially since my aunt just had triplet boys also born on that day.  That makes 6 in the Parkinson family tree all born on this eventful day.
To celebrate, we had a small family gathering with dinner and dessert.  Its always fun to all get together.  Avril especially loves birthdays.  She kept saying, "I want it to be my birthday, please."  So we let her blow out the candles on the cake.  She was thrilled :)
