It was a long drive down, but soooo worth it! We jam packed our Vegas weekend with lots of fun, just for us girls! Ina's family had planned to go down for Memorial Day weekend so the girls and I decided to take advantage and join in on the much needed get away. My favorite part was seeing how much fun Avril and McKel had, seeing all the sights, and making all kinds of memories that will be ingrained in my mind forever. I love every moment with my angelic girls.
At one of the stops there was a petting zoo. The girls were SUPER excited to get out of the car and see the animals. They were hesitant about actually petting them though...
McKel taking it all in
Mommy/Daughter shot with Mr. Zebra
Allison, Ina, and Avril having some fun with all the animals!
There were Emus, Zebras, Llamas, Lambs, and more!
Avril gets a little braver with the baby goats...
Avril enjoyed watching Bambi multiple times during the car ride down. The past several days she has been saying: "I'm hibernating!." That is a line from the movie. If you ask her what she's doing, she'll now say, "I'm hibernating!" It is too cute!
Once we finally got to Vegas, it was beddy bye time. We had an awesome hotel, not too far from the strip. The pool was the main attraction. The following day was perfect weather to hop in the water. Mommy caked the sunblock on the girls but somehow managed to forget herself, so Mommy had to deal with burned shoulders and back for the rest of the trip. Oh well, a small price to pay for the awesome time we had in the sun!
In front of one of the many pools by our hotel. Avril had such a blast!
Allison is trying to blow up the inner tube for McKel. This was a lot harder than you'd think. Sophie and her dad played in the pool with Avril. They were both just so stinkin' cute!
Apparently McKel wasn't a huge fan of her inner tube
That night we headed over to Excalibur to watch the Tournament of Knights. Avril was mesmerized. She would not stop talking about the horseys. I loved watching her take it all in. It was amazing.
All the girls, walking to the show!
Good times. Um.. must've caught Avril off guard in this one
We sat in the Dragon section. Somehow we were with the bad guy. Avril clung to me for dear life!
These are just some adorable shots I took of McKel
So of course I had to include some adorable shots of Avril as well. She is enjoying a watermelon at the breakfast buffet.
The Bellagio had the most beautiful flower displays I've ever seen. They had chocolate fountains and all kinds of beautiful sights to see. Here are Allison and Avril by the gorgeous flowers.
They also had all kinds of birds and fish to look at. The girls loved it!
Mommy and McKel inside the Bellagio. Talk about gorgeous flowers!
And they had this amazing flower-arranged picture in a frame. That must've taken FOREVER to do. Incredible!
Unfortunately it got SOOO windy outside, as we walked down the strip. We wanted to show Avril the lions at the MGM Grand, but didn't quite make it. Instead, we headed over to Caesar's Palace to do some shopping and eat at the Cheesecake Factory.
On the walk over we ran in to Cookie Monster, and a snake. Surprisingly, Avril's favorite thing was the snake.
We went to H&M, Mommy's favorite clothing store of all time. Avril and McKel caught some Zzzz's during the shopping. Avril somehow lost her dolly, Sally, in this 3-story store. Miraculously, somebody turned it in. Thank heavens! It would not have been a fun rest of the trip without Sally the Dolly!
So cute when she sleeps!
Like an angel...
She's such a happy, big blue-eyed girl! I love her to freakin pieces!
Some random cute Avril shots as well.
Here is a fun video of the girls in the hotel:
I truly had a blast with all my girls. It was a lot of work taking care of two little ones but so TOTALLY worth it. This one's for the girls! I love you guys. Thank you for one AWESOME weekend that I'll never forget!! :)
